Client FAQs

Frequently asked questions

These answers provide a general overview of how BXGI engagements work. Specific terms, responsibilities and processes are defined in the applicable client agreement.

Getting Started

How is BXGI different from a traditional recruiting agency?

A traditional agency hands over a résumé and steps back. BXGI stays involved for the length of the engagement. We help define the role, search the talent markets that fit your requirements, present a focused group of candidates for your team to interview, and then coordinate the contracting, onboarding and ongoing administration once you make a selection. The goal is to add capacity to your existing team without adding management overhead.

How do we get started?

Email info@bxgi.com or send us a note through the contact form with the roles, skills and timing you are considering. A BXGI team member will follow up to discuss the requirement and the most practical staffing approach.

How quickly can the search process begin?

The search begins as soon as the role requirements and working model are agreed. Screening, interviewing and final candidate selection typically take a few weeks, depending on the seniority and specialization of the role. We will share an expected schedule for your specific requirement once the process starts.

Can BXGI provide one specialist or a complete team?

Both. We support engagements that start with a single engineer or designer, and engagements that require a coordinated group working on one product or workstream. Teams can be located together or distributed across regions.

What types of technical roles can BXGI recruit?

There are few practical limits as long as the role and skill set can be clearly defined. Common requirements include software engineering, AI and data, quality engineering and test automation, cloud, DevOps and cybersecurity, product and delivery management, and product, UX and UI design.

Engagements and Pricing

Are professionals typically full-time or part-time?

Professionals normally join a client team on a full-time, fully dedicated basis. If a long-term partnership would sensibly start with a part-time contributor, tell us and we will discuss what is workable.

How long are engagements?

The standard minimum contract duration is three months, with some flexibility depending on the requirement.

Are there upfront recruiting fees?

No. There are no upfront recruiting or contractual fees. Costs begin when a candidate you selected joins your team and starts working.

How are invoices handled?

Clients are normally invoiced at the end of each month for work performed during that month, on Net 30 terms, so charges can be reviewed before payment is processed. Accepted payment methods are corporate check, ACH and bank wire.

Is there a cancellation fee or notice period?

There are no cancellation fees. Contracts include a written 14-day notice period.

Candidate Evaluation

How does BXGI evaluate candidates?

Evaluation is agreed with each client and generally includes a review of relevant experience, a structured interview with a BXGI hiring consultant, an assessment of written and spoken communication, reference and past-experience checks, and technical evaluation methods appropriate to the role.

Can we use our own technical interview process?

Yes. Many clients run their own technical interviews, take-home exercises or panel reviews. BXGI presents candidates and supports scheduling; your team makes the final decision.

What level of English communication should we expect?

Every candidate presented for a client interview is expected to write and speak fluent English. Communication is assessed during screening interviews alongside technical experience.

Onboarding and Management

Who manages the professional's daily work?

You do. BXGI professionals work inside your tools, meetings, processes and reporting structure, and take day-to-day direction from your managers. BXGI handles the employment and administrative relationship and stays available for engagement questions.

What happens after a candidate is selected?

BXGI coordinates the agreed contracting, payroll, equipment and onboarding requirements, then supports the transition into your team. We remain involved through the engagement to gather feedback and discuss changes to team composition.

Confidentiality and Intellectual Property

How is confidential information protected?

BXGI provides a non-disclosure agreement covering the engagement, and BXGI professionals are covered under that agreement. Client-specific access, security and equipment requirements should be agreed before work begins.

Who owns the work created during the engagement?

BXGI enters into talent agreements with each professional it brings on. Through those agreements BXGI obtains ownership of the work created for a client, and provides the client with the intellectual property for that work under the client agreement.

Locations and Working Models

Where are BXGI candidates located?

Candidates are based across several markets, most commonly the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and Europe. The right market for a given role depends on the skills required, the working-hour overlap you need and your budget.

Can remote professionals visit our office?

It is uncommon, but where onsite presence is genuinely required, BXGI can work with you to coordinate travel or a temporary relocation for an individual or team for an agreed period.

Where is BXGI headquartered?

BXGI is headquartered in Burlingame, California, and works with clients and professionals across the United States and internationally.
