Full Stack Engineer

Overview

We are conducting a search for a dynamic, thoughtful, and bright individual to join our client's engineering team based in sunny and beautiful Palo Alto, California.

Our client is seeking to add a key contributor to their development team who will be instrumental in the design, development and delivery of several initiatives core to the future of their platform. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, flexible and ambitious full stack developer who can deliver quality code and manage all the parts of the product development cycle from specification writing to unit testing. Ideally, this developer would not be afraid to take on devops roles when necessary and is comfortable with system administration tasks, but primarily this developer will be writing code. The client has a wide array of software needs built on a variety of technology stacks as they are building their team from the ground up. As an early stage startup, their developers will be building everything from internal workflow tools to client facing portals to machine learning pipelines.

Responsibilities
  • Execute full software development life cycle
  • Write clear, maintainable, testable, and secure code
  • Document design and algorithms
  • Communicate with legal team to develop workflow/process improvements
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation
Knowledge, Skills & Ability
  • Software Engineering/Developer Experience: 3+ years
  • Experience in Front-end development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc)
  • Experience in Back-end development (JavaScript, python, PHP, etc)
  • In depth knowledge of relational (mySQL, Postgres) and noSQL (mongoDB)
  • Knowledge of at least one non scripting programming language (Java, C, C++)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
Nice to Have
  • Systems programming experience (bash, C, etc)
  • AWS infrastructure experience
  • Experience working with large datasets
  • Machine Learning experience (gensim, pytorch, tensorflow, etc)
